Professional Occupational 4 Wheel Drive Vehicle Training

Every employer has a duty of care to train their staff and driving a 4x4 vehicle off road is no exception.

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER '98) states:
"Self propelled equipment, including any attachments or towed equipment, should only be driven by workers who have been trained to drive it safely."

As all training should be needs driven, the training requirements of individual drivers can identified and then be catered for by using BORDA's three-stage syllabus. All of these events are authorised under Statute 1371 of the Road traffic act 1992 (Off Road Regulations) and are carried out by a fully accredited British Off Road Driving Association instructor.

Statfield Training Services provides training to many oganisations  operating in the Wind Farm, Quarry, Construction, Emergency Services, Environmental, Ecology and Commications sectors of industry.

Training can take place using Statfield’s  Defender or for a  realistic understanding of your own 4x4's capabilities, we would recommend using your vehicle.

The site at Stirling designed to allow the trainee to build skills as the event progresses learning the ability to assess terrain as the day evolves.  It is also possible to undertake training on clients own site where suitable.
